What I learned on family holiday.

I am glad to report my youngsters are still alive. Accept it or not this was one of the most enjoyable times I have experienced during the past year.

But my favourite is the John Larroquette Show opening, when he strolls next to the gigantic red and green neon sign and gives it a thump to stop the blinking message. To realise the way in which the color gets within the glass tubes but calls for some background info. Jacob Fishman, one of America's great neon artists, made a superb video production - "intro to Neon " - that tells about neon's roots, as well as, gives a realtime demonstration of how neon is formed. Questions like, "Duncan, what 3 things did you like most about hanging out with greatgrandpa Gayle? " Within mins, both boys were munching at the bit to respond to the next query ; I was in control, and in the procedure learned a good deal about the loves, goals, and thought processes of a 3 and a 5 year old. I learned that our family has plenty of good things to share with one another if we take some time to get over being beat and permit even the youngest to have their say. I learned that I too, am not impervious to promising to "pull this auto over, now. " Eventually , I learned it is critical to listen when your child tells you he has a "yucky stomach " and feels like throwing up.
