NEON IS BACK!

bud light neon sign. I am glad to report my kids are still alive. One of my boys would ask, "Are we there yet? " I'd answer, "Yes, but only in our existential and ethereal lives. " Which acquired about ten mins of silence as they attempted to work out what I'd just related. The boys were exhausted, loud, chatty, and only hardly listening as I and my spouse tried to talk rationally to them about shutting their mouths. Seems like most are eventually "seeing the light " of razzle-dazzle Neon in all its raucous, slinky beauty. It set the stage for the tale -- exciting and puzzling. But my fave is the John Larroquette Show opening, when he strolls next to the large red and green neon sign and gives it a thump to stop the blinking message.

To grasp how the color gets within the glass tubes nevertheless calls for some background info. " Old Neon indications are most frequently neon or argon gas in a vacuum tube ; the littler the diameter of the tube, the more intense the light produced and the bigger the voltage needed to illuminate it.

A note of caution here : Old neon sign transformers can be deadly. Questions like, "Duncan, what 3 things did you like most about hanging out with greatgrandpa Gayle? " Inside mins, both boys were munching at the bit to respond to the next question ; I was in charge, and in the act learned a good deal about the loves, goals, and thought processes of a 3 and a 5 year old.
